Ever since Sisel launched six years ago, our mission has been to make the world a safer, healthier place for all its inhabitants. Through our Earth Stewardship Foundation (ESF), we have sought to create a safe haven for abandoned children, endangered wildlife, and fragile environments.

Through ESF’s association with Whole Child International, we have made a commitment to the welfare of children, and have been able to radically change the lives of those who are institutionalized in orphanages. Children in these orphanages receive minimal human contact, and are exposed to 90 different caregivers throughout their lives. But with the help of Sisel’s friends and Distributors around the world, we have been able to improve the mental, spiritual, emotional and cognitive well-being of these children and create loving family units where lasting bonds and true relationships have flourished.

What We’ve Accomplished So Far
In seven child care centers in Nicaragua your contributions have enabled Whole Child International to:

• Create a 9-month training course where caregivers learn how to care for children in loving, wholesome family units
• Establish an academic, college-level course for social workers focused on child development
• Hire additional orphanage staff and expand services offered
• Provide nightstands and other furniture to give children a sense of ownership over their own space
• Purchase developmental toys and indoor playground equipment
• Remodel/modify a bathroom and purchase a washing machine
• Launch the Sisel Christmas Gift Program where children receive toys, and caregivers receive Sisel products

The Make a Change Program
Beginning on May 25, 2012, every order that is placed with Sisel will be rounded up to the next whole dollar, and we will donate the difference to ESF/Whole Child International. As they shorten, it’s like a clock counting down in our bodies: shorter telomeres means more fraying on the strands of DNA and chromosomes, and it results in—as scientists speculate—aging.

Telomeres lose units as you grow and age in this approximate ratio:

Conception: 15,000 units
At birth: 10,000 units (a loss of 5,000 units)
At death: 5,000 units (a loss of another 5,000 units over the course of our lifetimes)

At this point, scientists theorize there are not enough telomere units left to produce enough telomerase to trigger stem cell activity at a high enough level to refresh the levels of new cells that die off daily; these cells are needed to be able to maintain life. Once you reach that critical level, death occurs!
The arrival of Sisel’s TS-X and its botanical-based telomere-support telomerase pre-cursors represents quite possibly one of the most amazing developments in the history of anti-aging science!
